Grateful in scarcity!

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
Habakkuk 3:17-18 NLT

The resources are limited, however the needs are unlimited; this is scarcity. Unfortunately we have been sold the idea that God only blesses us in abundance; and while it is true that the Lord doesn’t that we have a shortage of the necessary, he is not limited to teach and bless us, even in times of lack. In the scarcity God teaches us to rely solely on him, and not from what we have; shows us how to live in simplicity and identify what really is useful and necessary; helps us experience the true joyfulness which doesn’t depend that everything goes well for us, but of salvation that God has already given us. We can lose everything, not see the fruit of our labor, not having any reserve, and still enjoying the joy of the Lord that is our strength. —Thank you Lord for the scarcity!
