Thankful for the good!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6, 8‬‬‬‬ NLT

Why things you can give thanks to God today? Possibly by year’s end the tendency of many is to remember the bad, the sad, or those circumstances that caused them physical, emotional or spiritual pain. For others, the tendency is to measure their achievements or the blessings achieved during the year in terms of possessions, wealth or recognition; however, have more money or more things does not necessarily mean become happier or have all that we need; and neither to initiate a new year worrying about every detail ensures that we will succeed in everything.

The words of the Apostle Paul are a practical advice on how to start a new year successfully; he proposes to us that we begin no worries, in prayer, telling God that we depend totally on him, thankful for everything that he has done in our lives, and finally focusing on the excellent and praiseworthy things. Do you dare to start the year in this way?

Blessed 2015!
