Rejected and Disappointed!

“The Son of Man must suffer many terrible things,” he said. “He will be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He will be killed, but on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”

Luke 9:22 NLT

Do you feel disappointed of the church? Do you feel rejected or disappointed by religious leaders or Christians in general?

Jesus understands this kind of rejection, because He was despised, treated unfairly, He suffered physical and emotional violence, and even those who were supposed to be the spiritual leaders of the nation killed Him. But He rose from death defeating the enemy who after all was the one trying to destroy Him!

So not excuse yourself behind your disappointment with the church and Christians to turn away from God; on the contrary, follow the example of Jesus who taught us that, the more we suffer rejection and disappointment, we must approach to God more and love His church, because this is the only way that this world will know that we are true followers of Jesus.
