“When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, «I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!»”

Luke 7:9 NLT

The Gospels narrate only once again when Jesus was amazed. In Mark 6:6 we are told that Jesus was visiting his hometown, Nazareth. Here he was grown and all people knew him as Jesus, the son of a carpenter in the village. But now he’s back to Nazareth as the Master! This caused the mockery of his countrymen who felt “deeply offended and refused to believe in him,” and it was for this reason that Jesus “was amazed at their unbelief.”

What contrast! – He was amazed at the faith of a Gentile soldier and he was amazed for disbelief of the religious people!

And in my case; Is my faith able to amaze Jesus or what astonishes him is my disbelief in Him?
