“But the Pharisees and their teachers of religious law complained bitterly to Jesus’ disciples, «Why do you eat and drink with such scum?»”

Luke 5:30 NLT

The “religiosity”, that is, fulfill the traditions or customs required by religion, without allowing that God really is who governs our lives, dehumanizes us.

Religiosity makes us insensitive, authoritarian; makes us lose of view what is important and focuses on things and customs rather than in people.

The religious do not understand the dignity that God gives us as individuals; they determine the value of someone for the outside, and if it does not meet their expectations, the person will only be scum.
