“When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures.

Luke 4:16 NLT

There are many who claim to follow Jesus, but not the habit of attending the church, arguing a thousand excuses for not doing so; however, this contradicts the example that Jesus gave us.

Jesus attended the temple weekly; He being the Son of God congregated regularly and actively, and not as something sporadic or when he had time.

Going to church is good practice, whose purpose is to meet God through the collective worship and community life, which is much more than just socializing.

But a very important element when we congregate, is meet with God through His Word; hear what He has to say us and be willing to obey His commandments.
