A rich church

“I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge.

1 Corinthians 1:4-5 NLT

Are you ever wondered, what makes that a church be rich?

For many, the edifices that build, or the mass media that owns or in which appears measures the church’s prosperity.

Others measure their richness by checking if the church uses the last technology, funding social projects or having large bank accounts always with six figures or more.

In other words, the wealth of a church is measured according the success’ parameters proposed by this world.

But the biblical perspective is different, the church is not rich by material resources that may possess; the church is rich when Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

When Jesus reigns in the church, His lordship is evident in at least three aspects: The church has undeserved gifts, the church communicates the message of salvation, and

The church understands the message of salvation.

So, what makes a church rich is belonging to Christ, and therefore serve, communicate and teach the message of peace of God to the world.
