What do you think who you are?
“Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.”
Romans 12:3 NLT
The biblical message supports and encourages to all of us to have a healthy self-esteem; this means recognizing the strengths we have and not deny our limitations.
The purpose of evaluating ourselves should be to identify areas of our life where we can grow and improve; and eliminate or reduce those which limits us to reach our full potential.
The intention of the self-assessment should never be to compare each other, we are unique beings; we can have models, but at the end we should be ourselves.
Life imitating others, will never be a fulfilling life!
Nor let it reign in our lives the pride and arrogance to think of ourselves more than we really are, do not forget it is through the Lord Jesus that we are what we are.
Live pretending what we are not, will ever be a fulfilling life!
