Who do I go?
“Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help! Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles.”
Psalms 55:1-2 NLT
Who do you go when you are overwhelmed? Who do you ask for help when you are fraught with difficulties?
Some people think that is the money or possessions that can free them from their problems; it is the reason why you see many people busily trying to hold more things and make more money.
Others believe that having power, influence or many contacts will avoid going through difficulties and therefore put their trust in their friends’ network.
And there are those who think that are their skills, intelligence or experience that will make their life a continuous harvest of success, without to experience any distress.
However, the reality is that all of us experience problems in life; no one is exempt through crises, feeling oppressed, and feeling faint without anyone coming to help us.
But the psalmist knew and taught us to turn to, who direct our prayer, who to call for help; he knew that God hears and answers us, which redeems our lives and fills us with His mercies.
