Joy and Obedience

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.

Psalms 51:12 NLT

Have you ever wondered if you can feel again the joy of God’s first love? The answer is yes; God can restore the joy of His salvation.

Of course, there must be true repentance to feel that joy; God’s forgiveness in our lives produces a joy that nothing and nobody can give us.

But the joy and obedience are inseparable; nobody living in rebellion may be happy, disobedience causes dissatisfaction and culpability.

By nature there is a tendency to be disobedient, but when you have communion with God, is He who makes the will flourish to be obedient.
