What do you fear?
“What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true. I have no peace, no quietness. I have no rest; only trouble comes.”
Job 3:25-26 NLT
Job, “the best man in all the earth, blameless and absolute integrity. He feared God and shunned evil remained“; was not free to have some hidden fears.
He tells us that no longer had peace, or tranquility, had not rest and had many problems; for what he feared most happened in his life.
Living as Christians blameless and upright before God, does not mean we are “dehumanized”, that we become robots; that we no longer feel fear or we will not have troubles.
However, although we experience fear or troubles, Jesus tells us that is possible avoid it take away our peace, distresses us and make us live in fear.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” – (John 14:27)
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” – (Matthew 11:28)
And Paul tells us: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” – (Philippians 4:6-7)
