Conviction, not conformity!
“But Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.”
Job 2:10 NLT
Normally, we categorize our year as “good” or “bad”, based on whether what has happened to us has benefited us or not.
We say that God “has blessed us” when everything has happened as we have desired; and if the opposite happens, we comfort ourselves thinking “it was not the God’s will”
Job teaches us however, that the integrity person accepts all the good things that comes from God, even bad things that could happen, and this is not conformity, is conviction!
Convictions that God is with us, no matter what circumstances are going through our lives.
Conviction that the love of God toward us, is not measured by what we have or do not have; for what good or bad things happen to us, or if we are wealthy or poor people.
Conviction to accept good or bad things; recognizing that both circumstances are just a tool for our benefit in the hands of God.
The Job conviction prevented him to speak like a fool even in difficult times; his conviction strengthened him at the time of the test.
