Humility to learn
“Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.”
Proverbs 9:9 NLT
With our words easily we can say that we are willing to be taught by others; but having a real attitude of learning, is not always easy.
Recognizing that others can teach us something; is to admit that we do not know everything; that there are things beyond our control, and it is something that not always like us.
To receive instruction from others require two things of us: Humility and to admit that someone knows more than us. Get off the pedestal that many times we put ourselves, not minimize us, on the contrary, it helps us grow.
When we learn from others we become wiser and enables us to keep learning. Refusing to be taught by others stop us, limits us and isolates us.
What have you learned from others this week? Take the initiative and ask others to teach you!
