Are you overwhelmed with trouble?

“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to you, Baruch: You have said, ‘I am overwhelmed with trouble! Haven’t I had enough pain already? And now the Lord has added more! I am worn out from sighing and can find no rest.’ Are you seeking great things for yourself? Don’t do it! I will bring great disaster upon all these people; but I will give you your life as a reward wherever you go. I, the Lord, have spoken!’

Jeremiah 45:2-3, 5 NLT

Have you felt sometimes like Baruch? Tired every day because of much suffering, and feel that there is no rest for your life? Just goes complaining, and all the difficulties that come to you make you feel unhappy?

I’ve felt that way, not once but many times. Even those who trust in God can begin to doubt and waver, become negative or allow hopelessness nest in our lives.

But the Lord’s promise is that although the calamity is around us, He will save us, He will gives us life, and He will protect us; and He will do this wherever we are.

Of course, We’ll not achieve it looking for great things for our life, and it doesn’t mean to be conformist; it means do not put our eyes in fleeting world’s things trying to stop suffering, looking for happiness in order to stop complaining; No! That is not the solution of the disciple of Jesus, what we simply should have is to trust in God.
