What for?

“The captain of the guard called for Jeremiah and said, “The Lord your God has brought this disaster on this land, just as he said he would. For these people have sinned against the Lord and disobeyed him. That is why it happened.

Jeremiah 40:2-3 NLT

God can speak us even through situations we consider as a misfortune in our lives. Through them, He can correct us or make us to understand His purpose for our lives.

This is why we shouldn’t think that every misfortune or adversity we go through have the purpose to destroy us. Every disaster has the potential to benefit our lives; every disaster is an opportunity for rebirth.

So, when adversity comes to our life, we shouldn’t ask ourselves Why? it is better to ask ourselves What for?
