Facing the change – 2

“And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.

Jeremiah 29:7 NLT

God told to His people: “Build houses and plan to stay!” “Plant gardens and eat the fruit they produce“, and “Marry and have children !” But there was something else that they could adapt to the change effectively , God advised :

  • Work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile! – Definitely adapt to change is not an easy task, but even in the worst scenario, we must work to be successful in the place where God leads us. But success does not come only with hard work, success can not be completely alienated from God, it is the reason why we must also pray that God will bless us in the place where we are.

“If a city prosper, its inhabitants will prosper also.” If we are faithful to God, we can change our society for benefit of all its inhabitants.
