The true prophet

“I have heard these prophets say, ‘Listen to the dream I had from God last night.’ And then they proceed to tell lies in my name. But stop using this phrase, ‘prophecy from the Lord.’ For people are using it to give authority to their own ideas, turning upside down the words of our God, the living God, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Jeremiah 23:25, 36 NLT

We must be careful with many who call themselves prophets, can deceive us by saying that they talk in God’s name, and his only purpose is to make us to forget the Lord and make we worship “other gods”.

The message of the true prophet that speak from God, burning like fire, breaks like the hammer, confronts our sin and warns us about the consequences.

The true prophet urge us away from the evil ways and bad deeds.
