Despair

“Yet I curse the day I was born! May no one celebrate the day of my birth. …because he did not kill me at birth. Oh, that I had died in my mother’s womb, that her body had been my grave! Why was I ever born? My entire life has been filled with trouble, sorrow, and shame.

Jeremiah 20:14, 17-18 NLT

Jeremiah had the full assurance of who God is, he was sure of his calling, and he knew that he could count with the divine protection in his life.

But it does not exempt him going through difficult times in his life, even to the point of reaching depression, and wish for death.

But Jeremiah did not let the circumstances, and his feelings beat him; on the contrary, he trusted God, he wait and he was released.
