Tears that paralyze

“She went to the disciples, who were grieving and weeping, and told them what had happened. But when she told them that Jesus was alive and she had seen him, they didn’t believe her. Afterward he appeared in a different form to two of his followers who were walking from Jerusalem into the country. They rushed back to tell the others, but no one believed them.

(Mark 16:10-13 NTL)

There are events in our lives that fill us with much sadness, situations that make us mourn and break.

But we must be careful when we go through these crises, because sadness can paralyze us, make us unbelievers and blind us to the wonders that God does. When we are sad and lamenting, we find it difficult to believe the words of encouragement and consolation of those who love us.

The disciples believed until Jesus himself rebuked for their unbelief, do not let to get until that point to believe Jesus, just trust HIM, Jesus is the only one who can change our sadness for joy.
