Jesus gives me a personal treat
“Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”
(Mark 16:7 NTL)
Have you imagined how Peter felt after denied Jesus? I think they were some terrible days!, blaming himself, feeling as a traitor, unmerited of the forgiveness of Jesus; perhaps thinking that the three years of his life he spent as a disciple were a waste and it would has been better to follow his quiet life as a fisherman; in short, honestly I wouldn’t like to be in his sandals.
But when the women arrived at the tomb something interesting happened, the angel said, “Go back and tell his disciples and Peter”, he emphasized to give the news to the disciple who undoubtedly was suffering intensely for what he had done to his teacher. And that is because Jesus will always give us a personalized treat, HE knows when we need to hear these words of comfort, hope and encouragement. Jesus wants us to know HE is willing to forgive, accept and love us.
Now, is our decision, Will we be crying for what we did or will accept HIS forgiveness? Will we continue blaming or will allow HIS unconditional love transforming us to live according to HIS will?
Remember, Jesus will always treat you in a personal way.
