Do not worry, God will remove the stone!

“Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on Sunday morning,[a] just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?

(Mark 16:1-3 NTL)

Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome proposed anoint the body of Jesus; but were aware that there was a major obstacle that stood between them to fulfill their task.

However, not daunted, or allow it be an excuse do not to fulfill what they had been proposed. They followed a series of steps to achieve their goal:

  1. They invested resources. With their own money, bought perfumes to anoint the body of Jesus.
  2. They sprang into action. They walked to the grave, not sat down to mourn or grieve over the hurdle of the stone.
  3. They sought solutions. As they walked to their destination, they were thinking of ways to solve the problem.

This teaches us that we should not give up, or give up when we achieve a goal.

Usually we encounter difficulties in our way, but do not forget that God in HIS infinite power can remove every obstacle no matter what impossible it seems to be.

And what about you? Do you let the obstacles overcome you without attempting to find solutions? Or, are you a winner even before starting the battle?
