Is that all you can do?

“She has done what she could and has anointed my body for burial ahead of time. I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.

(Mark 14:8-9 NTL)

What is the only thing you can do for Jesus? Many people think that we can only serve doing great things, or developing spectacular work, or activities that leave amazed at everyone around us. But the truth is those things do not impress Jesus; when we serve the Master, there is no difference between “huge” or “small” ministries, “holiest” or “less holy” work; as we do, HE does not make difference if there was much or little “blessing or anointing” in the service that someone led.

For the Lord Jesus what is important is: What is our motivation when we do all we can for Him? Jesus wants that our service gave to HIM comes from a grateful, contrite, and humbled heart; and it is done voluntarily.

So, no matter if all you do is cleaning the benches, or sweeping or mopping the floor; or preaching, teaching or leading crowds; the important thing is that your service is done for God and not for men.
